The celebration saw the participation of Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, Chairwoman of the provincial Front Fatherland Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien and more than 3,500 people including officers, party members and residents in Xuan Loc district.

The district has over the past 35 years obtained important and comprehensive achievements in socio-economic development. Xuan Loc has enjoyed stable economic growth. In 2009, Xuan Loc’s average annual GDP growth rate was over 12.6 % while the average per capita income reached VND 18.9 million, 12.5 times higher than in 1991. Apart from economic development, the district had encouraging achievements in culture, healthcare and education. In addition, the district has paid due attention to improving living conditions of ethnic people. Paying debts of gratitude and taking care of the poor are among Xuan Loc district’s top priorities over the past years.
At the celebration ceremony, the armed forces and people in the district took part in a demonstration.
Before attending the ceremony, the delegates had laid wreaths at the War Martyr’s Monument in Xuan Loc and burned incenses to commemorate revolutionary soldiers who laid down their lives for national independence during the two resistance wars.
