Long Khanh marks 35th liberation anniversary

(ĐN)- Long Khanh town organised a solemn meeting on April 21 to celebrate 35 years of its liberation. The celebration saw the participation of Senior Lieutenant General Phan Trung Kien, a member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of National Defence, Tran Dinh Thanh, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, representatives of agencies and departments, heroic mothers, and heroes of the armed forces together with local people.

Delegates attend the celebration ceremony

In his speech, Secretary of Long Khanh town’s Party Committee Nguyen Van Nai recalled the historic victory that liberated the town on April 21, 1975. He also highlighted socio-economic achievements that Long Khanh has made over the past 35 years.

At the celebration ceremony, the armed forces and people in the town took part in a demonstration.

Earlier, a ceremony had been held in the town to inaugurate a Monument in commemoration of fallen soldiers of battalion 440. This was one of the activities to welcome the 35th anniversary of the liberation of Long Khanh town.
