Provincial leaders work with financial agencies and banks

According to reports from Department of Tax, Department of Finance (DoF), Dong Nai Lottery Company (Doloco) and Dong Nai Branch of Vietnam Development Bank (VDB), the units fulfilled and surpassed important targets in 2009. Particularly, the tax sector collected for the state budget more than VND8,558 billion or 118 percent of estimates, up 9 percent compared to last year’s figure. The Doloco contributed over VND450 billion to state budget. Dong Nai branch of VDB provided loans worth approximately VND300 billion, fulfilling 100 percent of the yearly set target. The DoF achieved state budget collection targets and used state budget economically and effectively.

During the visits, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh highly appreciated the units’ contributions to the province’s socio-economic development in 2009 and hoped that they will continue to focus on a number of measures to ease economic recession, curb inflation and ensure social welfare while maintaining economic growth.

At the same day, a delegation led by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot visited and worked with Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), Dong Nai Customs Bureau, Dong Nai branches of Agribank and State Bank of Vietnam (SBV). At the working sessions, the chairman also praised efforts of the units in overcoming difficulties to complete their tasks in the best way. He stressed that some aggressive solutions should be taken in coming time to fulfill the province’s social-economic development targets for 2010.

In 2009, Dong Nai’s industrial parks lured $557 mil in FDI, exceeding $57 mil against the year’s plan; import-export tax collection gained VND5,711 bil, achieving 126 percent of the target. Besides, the province provided loans worth VND4,100 bil to farmers, a year-on-year rise of 3 percent, and disbursed VND375 bil in subsidized loans to businesses to help them to maintain and develop production.
