(ĐN)- Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot on Friday held a working session with the local Department of Planning and Investment to review the province’s socio-economic development over the past ten months.
According to report from the local Department of Planning and Investment, some key targets were met at target, or exceeded. Over the past ten months, Dong Nai attracted US$2.78 billion in FDI, exceeding the years target by 39 per cent and increasing nearly 7 per cent from the same period of last year. During the same period, the province also saw more than VND51 trillion in domestic investment capital, representing a 2.8 per cent increase year on year.
Total social investment and development capital reached almost VND26 trillion over the past ten months, a year-on-year increase of over 25 percent, representing over 92 percent of the year’s target.
Speaking at the meeting, chairman Vo Van Mot asked the Department to make concerted efforts to achieve the targets set for 2009 as well as define the socio-economic targets for 2010. Mot also stressed that the need for the province to create more favourable conditions to attract foreign investment.
