The Phuoc An port, with total investment capital of approximately VND20 trillion, will cover an area of more than 700 hectares in Long Tho and Phuoc An communes, Nhon Trach district. The port is designed to accommodate ships of 30,000 DWT and will be upgraded to be able to receive vessels of 50,000-60,000 DWT in the future, serving goods import and export in the economic zones in the local. The investor will speed up the ground-breaking progress to start the construction of the project in 2010. The project’s first phase is expected to put into operation in 2012.
