Japan to sponsor $516 million to build HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay highway

(ĐN)- A consulting contract for HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway project was signed on March 3 between Japanese Ambassador, Ministry of Transport and localities of HCM city, Dong Nai.

(ĐN)- A consulting contract for HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway project was signed on March 3 between Japanese Ambassador, Ministry of Transport and localities of HCM city, Dong Nai. As known, the project will be financially sponsored by Japan with official development assistance (ODA) capital of US$516 million.

The HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway, with a total investment capital of more than VND28,000, is expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2009. The highway will have a total length of 54.9 km with eight lanes. In the first phase of the project, four lanes will be built on the whole route. The HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay is part of the north-south highway axis.
