According to the report from People’s Committee of Xuan Loc district, the district has provided 72,575 free health insurance cards for poor people from January 2006 to September 2008. Since 2007 till now, 410 enterprises have bought social insurance for their employees. However, some enterprises and cooperatives in the district failed to fulfill their obligation to pay social insurance for employees. In the coming time, the district will continue to encourage local people to purchase voluntary health insurance cards and local authority will impose strict punishment on those who violate labour law on health and social security.
