(ĐN)- On August 27, Thong Nhat district held a ceremony to honor excellent students and award scholarships to poor students with good academic results in the school year of 2007-2008. At the ceremony, the organizing board granted rewards worth 250,000-300,000 each to excellent students and gave scholarships valued at VND300,000-500,000 each to 515 outstanding poor students. The scholarships are funded by Thong Nhat district’s Fund for the Poor, Dong Nai Branch of Bank for Investment and Development, Dong Nai province’s Fatherland Front Committee and the province’s Children Support Fund.
On this occasion, Thong Nhat district’s Study Encouragement Association presented 6 bicycles and study equipments to provincial and district-level good students.
