The provincial leaders briefed the delegation on the province’s social and economic development, its future goals and strategic plans, investment incentives in Dong Nai. They said that the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Laos have a unique characteristic based on the spirit of mutual cooperation, friendship and benefit to both sides, Vietnamese businesses including those from Dong Nai have invested in a number of projects in Laos. They also said some businesses from Dong Nai are going to invest in Laos such as Tin Nghia one-member limited liability company with its investment in coffee and rubber plantations and the Long Thanh Golf Joint-Stock Company making investment in exploring and exploiting mineral resources.
Vientiane mayor Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune expressed his thanks to the provincial leaders for their warm welcome. He said that the Laos government Government has recently granted permission to the Long Thanh Golf Joint-Stock Company to develop a golf course with an area of 500 hectares in Vientiane. He added this project costs US$ 1 billion and it will represent the largest foreign investment ever in Laos. The mayor also said the Laos government offers a scholarship for a student in Dong Nai who wants to study Laos language at University degree.
On the same day, the delegation visited and worked at Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA). The delegation is scheduled to work with the Long Thanh Golf Joint-Stock Company tomorrow.
