
(ĐN)- On August 27, Department of Justice held a meeting to review 10 years of implementation of the Ordinance on organization and operation of conciliation at grassroots level and setting up law bookcases in communes, wards and townships.

The meeting saw the participation of Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga and representatives from Ministry of Justice, the province’s Fatherland Front Committee and related agencies.
Presently, Dong Nai has 1,073 conciliation teams and 5,538 conciliators. Over the last ten years, they have solved 49,641 civil disputes with a success rate of 79.23 per cent.
Besides, 100 percent of the communes, wards and townships in the province have set up law bookcases, attracting 386,576 readers.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga highly appreciated the role of conciliators as well as local authorities in implementing grass-roots conciliation to solve civil problems in villages and setting up law bookcases, contributing to ensure public order and safety
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to 200 collectives and 114 individuals for their efforts to solve small civil disputes and establish law bookcases. Ministry of Justice awarded Commemorative Medals “For the Cause of Justice” to 4 justice officials and conciliators.
