Survey on coffee production in Dong Nai province

(ĐN)- On July 14, a delegation of Bureau of Cultivation had a working session with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on coffee production in Dong Nai province.

(ĐN)- On July 14, a delegation of Bureau of Cultivation had a working session with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on coffee production in Dong Nai province. Accordingly, the delegation made a survey in Cam My district and Long Khanh town,  the province’s two largest coffee growing areas. The survey aimed to evaluate the use of fertilizer, water and plant protection medicines, concurrently put forward solutions to develop coffee in a sustainable manner in Highlands and South-eastern provinces.

  

Presently, Dong Nai has nearly 18,000 ha of coffee plants with an annual capacity of more than 60,000 tones. In the next time, the province will not to expand cultivation area unfavourable for coffee plant but to focus on raising productivity and quality.
