(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Provincial Veterinary Department recently celebrated the 58th founding anniversary of the Veterinary sector (July 11). On this occasion, the Dong Nai People’s Committee awarded certificate of merit to the Provincial Veterinary Department for its efforts in protecting the livestock and poultry industries from disease incursions.
(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Provincial Veterinary Department recently celebrated the 58th founding anniversary of the Veterinary sector (July 11). On this occasion, the Dong Nai People’s Committee awarded certificate of merit to the Provincial Veterinary Department for its efforts in protecting the livestock and poultry industries from disease incursions.
The provincial Veterinary Department was established over 24 years ago. At the time, the department had 30 employees. The Department employs 154 staff at branches across the province. It has 148 veterinary collaborators throughout the province. During the past 3 years from 2005 to 2008, the Department has intensified efforts to prevent the spread and introduction of infectious diseases of livestock and poultry. Especially, the Department has kept animal epidemics such as bird flu and blue ear pig disease under control although outbreaks in neigbouring provinces.
