Over VND 22.2 billion mobilised for humanitarian efforts in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association yesterday held a meeting to review its activities in the first six months of the year.

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association yesterday held a meeting to review its activities in the first six months of the year.

The Association mobilised more than VND 22.2 billion for humanitarian purpose in the reviewed period. In addition, the Association provided relief worth about VND 600 million to poor people in Kon Tum province (Sister Province to Dong Nai) and residents in northern provinces to help them overcome the consequences of the on-going cold snap. Moreover, the Association motivated 7,240 people to participate in voluntary blood donation and granted free medical insurance cards to 1,225 poor people in Dong Nai during the period.
