Competition to find best custard-apple variety held in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- A competition was organised in Dong Nai to find the best custard-apple variety. The competition was open to custard apple growers in the south east region.

(ĐN)- A competition was organised in Dong Nai to find the best custard-apple variety. The competition was open to custard apple growers in the south east region. The competition attracted entries from Dong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Tay Ninh provinces with 143 samples of custard-apple. 39 samples were selected from the preliminary rounds to compete in the final round of the competition, which was held at Dong Nai Agriculture Promotion Centre on July 29.

 The results were first prize went to Huynh Van Hai from Ba Ria- Vung Tau province for the best custard-apple seedlings, the second to Nguyen Thi Mung from Ba Ria- Vung Tau and Nguyen Thanh Binh from Tay Ninh province, the third to Tran Dang Thao and Tran Thi Ngoc from Dong Nai province. A custard apple grower in Dinh Quan district of Dong Nai province won a consolidation prize.
