(ĐN)- The 8th Congress of the Provincial Labour Union is being held in Dong Nai from July 31 to August 1, with the opening ceremony taking place today, Thursday, July 31 at the province’s culture and sports complex centre. The event attracts the participation of 397 delegates, representing more than 341,000 trade union members across the province.

During the past five years, state employees and laborers in the province have continuously increased both in quantity and quality. Accordingly, 669 grassroots trade unions were established with more than 169,000 members, bringing total number of trade union organizations across the province to 2,081. Over the past times, trade unions at all levels have taken an active role in implementing policies and protecting the legal rights of laborers, meeting expectation of its members, contributing to socio-economy development, thus upgrading the quality of members with good fitness, knowledge and sound lifestyle.
