(ĐN)– On June 12, at the meeting hall of the provincial Party Committee, Dong Nai provincial Bank for Social Policies (DBSP) held a conference to review its activities in the 2003-2008 period.

During the past five years, the DBSP provided special credit loans worth VND541.6 billion to 83,337 poor students and households. Besides, the bank offered loans for the employment creation program and the rural clean water supply program. Over the past time, the bank has made important contributions to poverty reduction work in the local. Accordingly, the bank has disbursed more than VND56 billion for around 14,594 student loans and provided 46,566 poor households with loans valued at VND7-10 million each.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 48 collectives and 35 individuals for their excellent achievements during the past five years.
