Activities to mark 83rd anniversary of Viet Nam Revolutionary Journalists’ Day

(ĐN)- On June 20, at the meeting hall of the provincial Party Committee, Dong Nai Journalist’s Association held a ceremony to celebrate the 83rd anniversary of Viet Nam Revolutionary Journalists’ Day and award the 19th Golden Pen Prize to the winners.

(ĐN)- On June 20, at the meeting hall of the provincial Party Committee, Dong Nai Journalist’s Association held a ceremony to celebrate the 83rd anniversary of Viet Nam Revolutionary Journalists’ Day and award the 19th Golden Pen Prize to the winners.

 

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Huynh Van Toi, Head of Dong Nai provincial Department of Propaganda and Training, and Mrs. Huynh Thi Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee.

  

At the meeting, the Dong Nai Journalist’s Association Chairman Mai Song Be reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnam’s revolutionary press over the past 83 years and stressed the contributions of Dong Nai press to the cause of industrialization and modernization as well as promotion of the local economic development during the past time. He hoped the journalists will continue to uphold the glorious traditions of the revolutionary press founded by President Ho Chi Minh and develop more strongly and firmly, deserving to be a sharp ideological weapon, the voice of the Party, State, mass organizations and a reliable forum of the people.

 

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Journalist’s Association presented campaign medals “For the Cause of Vietnam Press” to 11 provincial journalists for their active contributions and granted certificate of merit to Director of the Provincial Library Tran Tat Thanh. At the ceremony, the Dong Nai Journalist’s Association awarded the 19th Golden Pen Prize to the journalists. Accordingly, Dong Nai Newspaper won two second prizes, two third prizes and a consolidation prize.
