(ĐN)- On May 23, Dong Nai Journalist’s Association held a meeting to review four years of implementation of Directive 37-CT/TW and Circular No.38/TT-TU on further improving the role and operation quality of Vietnam Journalists Association in the new period.

Dong Nai Journalists Association presently has more than 130 members. During the past four years, the association coordinated with related agencies to organize many short-term training courses on politics as well as professional skills for its members. Dong Nai press made incessant efforts to improve its quality both in form and content, improve the quality of broadcasting and increase its broadcasting time. It also focused on training personnel and developing human resources in order to better meet the needs of readers and viewers inside and outside the province. The province has invested modern equipments and built infrastructure for the local press agencies so that they can well perform the propaganda work. Over the past time, Dong Nai press actively participated in social and charity activities. However, further efforts should be made to build a professional press apparatus that are absolutely loyal to the Party’s cause, are closer to the people and can quickly access to modern press technologies.

At the meeting, the participants discussed preparation for the 83rd anniversary of Viet Nam Revolutionary Journalists Day (June 21, 1925-June 21, 2008). Accordingly, many seminars and events will be held to mark the Day.
