US-Vietnam Dialogue Group on Agent Orange/Dioxin works in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- On January 30, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga warmly received the US-Vietnam Dialogue Group on Agent Orange/Dioxin led by Mr. Walter Isaacson, the president of the Aspen Institute, and Mrs. Ton Nu Thi Ninh, former Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

(ĐN)- On January 30, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga warmly received the US-Vietnam Dialogue Group on Agent Orange/Dioxin led by Mr. Walter Isaacson, the president of the Aspen Institute, and Mrs. Ton Nu Thi Ninh, former Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

 

The visit aimed to inquire into the situation of Agent Orange victims in Dong Nai to call for US sponsors as well as charity organizations to support the victims.

 

Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga said that the province is planning to build a child care centre for disabled children in general and Agent Orange children.

 

On this occasion, the Group visited two families of AO victims in Bien Hoa city’s Tan Phong ward and Vinh Cuu district’s Binh Hoa commune. The delegation also had a working session at Dong Nai Centre for Disabled Children.
