(ĐN)- On January 17, Dong Nai provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee held a ceremony to review its activities in 2007. Accordingly, the local monks, nuns and Buddhist followers, in 2007, contributed more than VND10 billion to build 56 charity houses for poor households, assist the flood victims, help people living in difficult circumstances, provide free check-ups and medicine to poor people. At the ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee awarded certificate of merit to the Executive Committee for their contributions to social and charity activities.
