(ĐN)- In the morning of December 4, the 12th session of the 7th Provincial People’s Council was held at the meeting hall of the provincial People’s Committee. The session was presided over by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Huynh Chi Thang and Head of the provincial People Council’s Social and Cultural Department Nguyen Van Hung.

(ĐN)- In the morning of December 4, the 12th session of the 7th Provincial People’s Council was held at the meeting hall of the provincial People’s Committee. The session was presided over by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Huynh Chi Thang and Head of the provincial People Council’s Social and Cultural Department Nguyen Van Hung. Also attending at the session was Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong.
At the session, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai reviewed the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and the State budget for the 2007 fiscal year and orientations for 2008.
Regarding the implementation of the 2007 plan, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh said that almost all targets were attained, the economic growth rate was the highest in the past five years. The GDP growth rate in 2007 is estimated to increase 15.1% against last year, FDI attraction exceeds year’s target, etc. He also stressed that more efforts needed to maintain sustained high growth rate; mobilizing and effectively utilizing all resources for development investment; speeding up privatization in the sectors of health, education; and preserving socio-political security.
