Alghanim’s Kirby builds PEB factory in Dong Nai

(ĐN) – In the morning of November 22, Kirby Building Systems, a subsidiary of Alghanim industry, Kuwait, held a groundbreaking ceremony to build its first pre-engineered steel building factory in Nhon Trach 3 Industrial Park.

(ĐN) – In the morning of November 22, Kirby Building Systems, a subsidiary of Alghanim industry, Kuwait, held a groundbreaking ceremony to build  its first pre-engineered steel building factory in Nhon Trach 3 Industrial Park. Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, leaders of departments, agencies and local authorities.

 

Located on an area of 6.5 ha, the $11 million factory will has an annual production capacity of 40,000 metric tons (MT). A second factory will be built in the north, probably in 2009 with an estimated investment of 20 million USD. This second project will help increase Kirby’s total capacity in Viet Nam to 100,000 tonnes per year. According to General Director Joseph Matthew, the domestic market would buy around 60 percent of the factory’s output, the remaining would go to markets in Southeast Asia and Australia.

 

Currently, Kirby runs a global network of 24 offices. An additional 10 offices, excluding those in Viet Nam , will be added next year.

 

Together, the two factories are expected to employ 1,000 workers and create around 4,000 indirect jobs

 

At the ceremony, Kirby’s representative donated VND100 million to aid flood victims in the central and granted VND50 million to Nhon Trach district’s Study Encouragement Association.
