(ĐN) – Dong Nai provincial Post Office officially launched its wireless fixed telephone service GPhone on October 5. This service allows customers to use fixed telephones service anywhere without having to install a cable, on condition that their houses locate in the areas covered by VinaPhone mobile network. Service users can also send messages, forward calls, and access the Internet like the current mobile phone service. The charges for the new service are the same as that for fixed-line telephone subscribers, which is appropriate for low-income customers in the countryside and mountainous areas.
On this occasion, the Post Office gave 50 telephones to first customers.
