Congress of the fourth-term Dong Nai War Veterans’ Association to be held in next month

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai War Veterans’ Association has recently held its 14th plenary session in Dong Nai to review its performance in the first six months of 2007.

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai War Veterans’ Association has recently held its 14th plenary session in Dong Nai to review its performance in the first six months of 2007.

For the reviewed period, the Association increased its efforts to provide its members with seed and animal breeding stock and help them access to credit to enable them to expand production and increase their incomes. The association was built in the spirit of cooperation, solidarity and support each other in achieving the goal of eliminating poverty. In addition, the Association has spent over VND 133 million to build 19 houses of gratitude. Furthermore, the Association has repaired 50 others for social policy beneficiaries at a total construction cost of nearly VND 36 million. The money was contributed by all members of the Association throughout Dong Nai province.

The Dong Nai War Veterans’ Association will hold its congress in July 2007. Its activities will continue to focus on the implementation of thrift practice and corruption and waste prevention and fighting. Besides, the Association will actively take part in the campaign “Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Example”.
