At a working session with the provincial leaders held on January 10, representatives of (Petrovietnam) raised concerns about the lack of adequate facilities to meet the project demands of a deep water port. The provincial leaders said that Dong Nai province is calling for investment in building the Phuoc An deep water port that will become an over-all big port with complete function and facilities and will serve not only Petrovietnam, the project investor, but also enterprises in Nhon Trach’s industrial zones.
General Director of Petrovietnam Chu Van Minh said that Petrovietnam will consider the proposal by the provincial leaders as realistic option to build a new deep water port in Ong Keo industrial zone in Nhon Trach district.
