Ngo Quyen High School celebrates 50th anniversary

(ĐN)- A grand ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Ngo Quyen High School was held late last week. Present at the celebration were current and former students, teachers and principals.

At the celebration of Ngo Quyen High School’s 50th founding anniversary, teachers reviewed the history and achievements of the school during the past 50 years. Founded in 1956, Ngo Quyen High School was the first High School in the province. There were quite a few high schools in the South region at that time.  The school has graduated tens of thousands of students in 50 years. The school has made great achievements over the past years in training talents for the province. It was the first unit in Dong Nai to be awarded the “Excellent Labor Collective” title in the renewal process and was recognized as national standard school in the 2004-05 academic year.

Speaking at the celebration, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai highly appreciated the outstanding achievements in teaching and studying the school had reached in the past time. Thai also stressed that teachers and students of school should devote further efforts to improve teaching and learning quality, to continue to develop the achievements of the School and continue to position the school as the leading one in the province.
