(ĐN)- Recently, Dong Nai has hosted a meeting of the leaders of the South eastern provinces’ Fatherland Front Committees. Attending the meeting were Vice President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Do Duy Thuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong and other leaders.

At the meeting, the representatives discussed on the tasks to be done by the provinces’ Fatherland Front Committees in 2006. Accordingly, a number of lessons have been drawn from their experiences. Particularly, Binh Duong province has completed well the plan for replacing all dilapidated houses; Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Dong Nai has mobilized more than VND65 billion to build 1,600 charity houses, award thousands of scholarships and help the poor, reduce the rate of poor household to 8.7%.
Vice President Do Duy Thuong highly appreciated the efforts made by the provinces’ Fatherland Front Committees in the South eastern aiming to unite the people and ensure all rights for them. He also stated that the provinces’ Fatherland Front Committees need to focus on propagandizing and mobilizing the people to implement well the Resolution of the 10th Party Congress. Moreover, the South eastern provinces have to continue to carry out effectively the programmes of hunger and poverty eradication, further contribute to economic development and social stabilization.
