(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai and leaders from provincial related departments recently received a delegation of Biwater to discuss issues concerning water supply and drainage and wastewater treatment in Dong Nai. Biwater provides water and wastewater treatment services to millions of people around the world. Their expertise spans the entire spectrum including water treatment, wastewater treatment, water infrastructure investment & operation, water asset management & consultancy services and water leisure facilities.
At the reception, Dinh Quoc Thai spoke of difficulties in supplying water and sewerage services in Dong Nai, in particular, challenges in treatment of wastewater from residential, commercial, and industrial sources. Thai also said that Dong Nai needs assistance and investment from Biwater to implement wastewater treatment projects. He added a lot of capital is needed for water service construction and improvements in the province. He noted that treatment of wastewater from residential areas in Bien Hoa and Nhon Trach cities need investment totaling $380 million and these are urgent projects which must be started soon in order to solve pollution problem in Thi Vai and Dong Nai rivers.
