(ĐN) – The Seventh Plenary Session of the 7th Dong Nai People’s Council was held on May 3 at the meeting-hall of the Provincial People’s Committee.

The plenum discussed and approved resolutions relating the social-economic development strategy from 2006-2010, key tasks from 2006-2010 for social security system and key issues of the provincial government of Dong Nai in order to make Dong Nai an industrialized province with modern socioeconomic infrastructure. Besides, Dong Nai’s plan for 2006-2010 period for providing state-funded bus service was increasingly heard in the plenum.
At the plenum, some new members were elected to the Provincial People’s Committee and the Provincial People Council’s Economic and Budget Committee.

The main objectives of the Strategic Plan 2006-2010 are
to accelerate economic development in the province; to bring into full play the province’s potentials regarding human resources, raise its capability of scientific and technological application and build socio-economic infrastructure, creating firm foundation for socio-economic development in the 2006-2010 period for the purpose of satisfying the fundamental demands of its modernization drive.
