(ĐN) - Recently, a meeting has been held at Dong Nai Tax Department aiming to evaluate the work done in 2005 and set a target of 2006. Attending the meeting were Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dang Thi Kim Nguyen, Deputy Director of General Department of Taxation in Southern Area Nguyen Van Vinh and representatives from domestic and foreign firms in the province.

(ĐN) - Recently, a meeting has been held at Dong Nai Tax Department aiming to evaluate the work done in 2005 and set a target of 2006. Attending the meeting were Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dang Thi Kim Nguyen, Deputy Director of General Department of Taxation in Southern Area Nguyen Van Vinh and representatives from domestic and foreign firms in the province.
Dong Nai Tax Department reported that over VND 4,671 billion was achieved in 2005, recording an increase of 23.75 per cent over the previous year and having achieved 106 per cent of the annual collections. The above figure was for total tax collections in last year from local firms respectively tax collection of central state owned enterprises with an increase of 28 per cent from the previous year, that of local state owned enterprises with a 33 per cent increase and a 24 per cent jump from lottery business… Although local firms had to face many difficulties in 2005 such as raw material price increase, bird flu outbreak etc, tax collections made easy thanks to efforts of the province’s tax department staff and active contributions of local firms. In which, Trang Bom district posted the higest in tax collection in 2005, achieved 158 per cent of the annual collections.
The Dong Nai Tax Department expects an increase in tax collection this year to VND 5,732 billion, registering a 35 per cent jump from the 2005 figure and having achieved 110 per cent of the annual collections.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dang Thi Kim Nguyen highly appreciated achievements made by Dong Nai Tax Department in 2005. She hoped that Dong Nai tax department would further strive to reach or exceed 2006 tax collection target.
On this occasion, the Provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 30 domestic and foreign firms located in Dong Nai who had outstanding tax contributions in 2005.
