(ĐN)- The 8th Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress concluded in Bien Hoa city on Dec. 23 after three days’ sitting with a big success. The congress elected 13 members to Dong Nai Provincial Standing Committee of the Party for 2005-2010 tenure. Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh was re-elected as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Vo Van Mot and Mr. Le Hong Phuong were also re-elected into the standing board of the Provincial Party Committee and served as deputy secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee.

In his closing speech, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh said that assessments of what the congress achieved will give strong encouragement towards the Provincial Party Committee and the whole people in the province to make progress on social and economic development for 2005-2010 period. The congress released an appeal, calling on all cadres, party members and people living in Dong Nai province to unite to contribute to economic growth and social development of Dong Nai. He said the congress reached a high consensus on all issues so as to increase the role of the Provincial Party Committee in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the province. But considering the challenges that lie ahead, that the whole Party and people of Dong Nai province will exert more efforts to overcome difficulties, improve the material and spiritual life of local population significantly in order to reach targets proposed by the 8th Provincial Party Congress.
