(ĐN) - Dong Nai power company launched its wireless fixed telephone service in the province on November 28. The new service is called E-com. The service uses advanced CDMA 2000 – 1X technology on the 450 MHz frequency band and users can connect directly to a computer to access the Internet. The E-com advantage is the direct Internet connection on telephone or personal computer at a speed of 153Kbps. The service has also wide-area coverage, mobility and high security. The service currently provides value added services like paging, call waiting, voice mail and broadband Internet.
E-com has so far offered its service in Bien Hoa city, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province. Dong Nai power company plans to provide E-com for other districts and communes in the next time.
