Denmark assists Vietnam in preventing bird flu

(ĐN)- A handover ceremony was organized in HCM City on October 3 between Danish Embassy in Vietnam and Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. At the ceremony, the equipment, including 1,670 automatic cylinders, 295 ice-boxes, 7,600 litres of antiseptic chemicals and 670 pairs of protective clothes worth about US$300,000 was presented to representatives from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development by Danish government. All these will be transferred to 25 provinces and cities in the Southern Area of Vietnam. Especially, Dong Nai will receive 100 pairs of protective clothes, 50 automatic cylinders, 10 ice-boxes and 300 litres of antiseptic chemical.

This was the fourth time since 2004, Demark has granted veterinary equipment and chemical support for avian influenza control in Vietnam. A few months ago, the country presented veterinary equipment and chemicals to 24 provinces and cities in the Northern area of Vietnam.
