Free medical checks and treatment for children under 6

Accordingly, while waiting for getting health insurance cards, these children can enjoy the special favour at the local public clinics and hospitals as their birth of certificates or notices of birth or other certificates as issued by the administrations in wards or communes are submitted to these places. In case of emergency aid, they still get free medical checks and treatment without the before–said certificates but these will be submitted before they leave hospitals. Except for case of further medical examination and treatment according to requirements of their parents, hospital fees have to pay. Besides, free medical checks and treatment at the local public hospitals are also provided for those under 6 who are living in the neighboring areas.

Authorities in levels of wards and communes under the local government took responsibility for popularizing and executing the directions. These come into effect as from June 2005.
