Consular legalization fees stipulated

The Ministry of Finance has issued Circular No.157/2016/TT-BTC on the collection, payment, management, and use of consular legalization and certification fees.

 

The Ministry of Finance has issued Circular No.157/2016/TT-BTC on the collection, payment, management, and use of consular legalization and certification fees.

Organizations and individuals (regardless of domestic or foreign ones) have to pay fees when State and authorized agencies notarize consular consulate legalization, certification and issuance of copy of documents and materials.

Fee exemption will be applied in the case Viet Nam has signed international conventions and joined agreements and regulations related to fee exemption on the collection, payment, management, and use of  consular certification and legalization fees.

The new fee rates for consular notarization and legalization will be as follow: (i) Consular legalization: VND 30,000 per time, (ii) Consular certification: VND 30,000 per time and (iii) Issuance of copy of documents and materials: VND 5,000 per time.

The Circular will take effect since January 1, 2017.
