At the headquarters of the Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Club Supporters’ Association, right at Binh Phuoc Stadium, hundreds of fans gathered in front of a large television screen to passionately cheer for U22 Vietnam throughout the match. Every pair of eyes seemed fixed on the screen, following each play at Rajamangala National Stadium. Emotions ran even higher when U22 Vietnam scored back-to-back goals to narrow the gap to 1-2, then equalized at 2-2, before completing a stunning comeback against host U22 Thailand with a 3-2 victory after 120 minutes.
Unable to contain his emotions after the home team secured a dramatic win, Nguyen Minh Thu, from Dong Xoai ward, joyfully shared: "So many emotions, extremely tense, extremely proud of the U22 Vietnam players. The players played extremely well, defeating host Thailand after being two goals down is a miracle."

Meanwhile, Ha Khanh Huyen, a football enthusiast from Nha Bich commune who arrived very early at the live viewing point, shared joyfully: "At this SEA Games, our U22 truly deserves the championship because they have good collective play, talented individuals... and also have one good head coach, Kim Sang-sik. This breathtaking, full-of-character victory in the final makes me, as well as Vietnamese football lovers, truly proud".

Right after the match, in the centers of Binh Phuoc ward and Dong Xoai, large numbers of fans poured onto the central streets to celebrate the victory with Vietnamese football’s third SEA Games Gold medal. However, thanks to the timely presence of the police force, people celebrated the victory very enthusiastically, yet in an orderly manner.
