Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina JSC visits and supports people affected by storms and floods

On the afternoon of October 28, the grassroots Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina JSC (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai province) reported that from October 27, the unit, in coordination with the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Society, organized a trip to visit and deliver gifts to families severely affected by storms No.10 and No.11 in Tran Phu ward and Loc Ha commune, Ha Tinh province.

Accordingly, on the first day of the journey, the delegation donated 700 million VND, raised through contributions from officials, employees, and the company’s management board, to support residents affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11.

The delegation visited and delivered 100 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to students with disabilities and those in difficult circumstances at Thanh Sen High School (Tran Phu ward) and Binh An Thinh Secondary School (Loc Ha commune, Ha Tinh province) while also providing financial support to sanitation workers, trade union members, workers, and residents who suffered severe damage from the storms.

Dinh Sy Phuc, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina JSC, said that the trip to the central and northern regions to support people affected by storms and floods is a journey of compassion from workers across Dong Nai Province in general, and the company’s workforce in particular. The meaningful gifts donated by the workers are expected to provide timely support to affected communities and help them recover from the damage caused by the storms and floods.

Earlier, the grassroots Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina JSC launched a campaign to support people affected by storms and floods, receiving enthusiastic participation and solidarity from all company workers. Within just three days of the campaign, the total donations collected from the company’s officials and employees reached 2 billion VND. According to the plan, after providing support in Ha Tinh province, the delegation will continue to Cao Bang province to assist residents in the locality. The journey runs from October 27 to 31.
