On July 8, a delegation from the Dong Nai Department of Health (DoH), led by Deputy Director Vo Thi Ngoc Lam, conducted a survey on the implementation results of healthcare criteria under the National Criteria for New-Style Rural Communes for the 2026-2030 period in Xuan Bac and Thong Nhat communes.

The survey aims to evaluate the implementation of commune-level healthcare criteria, provide timely guidance to address challenges, and help localities meet the targets of the New-style Rural Development Programme for 2026–2030 in accordance with the established roadmap. The inspections also support the implementation of Plan No. 99/KH-UBND, issued by the Dong Nai City People's Committee on February 13, 2026, on carrying out the National Target Programme on New-style Rural Area Development for the 2026–2030 period.

During the working sessions, the delegation inspected commune health stations and satellite clinics, reviewing headquarters, facilities, medical equipment and working conditions. Officials also assessed operational performance, identified strengths and shortcomings, and provided guidance to improve the quality of grassroots healthcare services.

The delegation also met with local authorities to review progress in meeting healthcare targets and indicators stipulated in Decision No. 51/2025/QD-TTg, issued by the Prime Minister on December 29, 2025, which promulgates the National Criteria for New-Style Rural Communes for the 2026-2030 period. The review focused on key indicators, including primary healthcare services, health insurance coverage, the quality of operations at commune health stations, disease prevention and control, and the preparation of supporting documentation for the evaluation process.

Concluding the working sessions with the communes, the Deputy Director of DoH acknowledged that many commune health stations have received investment in spacious, well-equipped facilities that meet professional requirements. Meanwhile, staffing levels basically comply with Ministry of Health regulations. She asked the health stations to continue promptly updating and implementing new regulations, particularly Circular No. 43/2025/TT-BYT and Circular No. 53/2025/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health concerning the operation of commune health stations. She also called for stronger application of digital technology in management and for electronic health records to be kept complete, clean and live, with data regularly updated, contributing to more effective management and public healthcare.

In addition, local authorities were requested to continue reviewing and completing all supporting documentation for each evaluation criterion, while strengthening coordination between the health sector and local governments to promptly resolve implementation challenges and promote sustainable new-style rural development.

Earlier, the DoH delegation conducted similar inspections in Phu Vinh and Dinh Quan communes. The survey continues on July 9 in Xuan Dinh and Cam My communes.
