(ĐN)- In the morning of March 2, Bien Hoa city’s Oriental Medicine Association held its ninth congress to review the 2012-17 period and make plans for 2018-23.
The association now has 170 members and 130 oriental medicine clinics, including 6 charity ones. Treatment using oriental medicine has gradually risen over the past five years. Accordingly, more than 2.3 million patients were treated with traditional medicine; of them, over 800,000 people got free check-ups and treatment with a total cost of more than VND17 billion.
In this period, the clinics also provided free examinations and treatments to more than 31,000 poor people, policy families, elderly people, AO/dioxin victims.
In the next term, the association will continue efforts to increase medical examinations and treatment using oriental medicine, improve the quality of herbal materials as well as meet demand for herbal medicine.
