(ĐN)- More than 879 cases of dengue fever, including one death, have been reported in Dong Nai since early this year, a year-on-year decrease of 43 percent.
According to Director Bach Thai Binh of Dong Nai provincial Preventive Medicine Centre, about 233 new cases were reported on March only, up 5 percent compared to the previous month.
Presently, the province’s health sector is intensifying supervision of dengue developments.
Accordingly, campaigns to raise public awareness of the importance of hygienic practices and waste collection, and those to spray mosquito repellent in high-risk areas have been operated across the locality, contributing to containing the spread of the disease.
