(ĐN)- With the number of hand-foot-and-mouth (HFMD) infections rising, Dong Nai is making efforts to raise public awareness on preventive measures to control outbreak of the disease.
Since October 1, Dong Nai Children Hospital reported an average of 800 new hand-foot-and-mouth infections per week.
Because there is no vaccine or antiviral agent available, following good hygiene practices such as washing hands regularly and disinfecting surrounding areas are the best ways to prevent the disease from spreading.
