(ĐN)- Dong Nai-based Thong Nhat General Hospital’s doctors successfully reconnected the left hand of a 45-year-old man in a five-hour surgery.
Earlier, on October 22, the man, named Nguyen Quoc Oai who is living in Vinh Cuu district's Hieu Liem commune, had his left hand cut off completely by scimitar in a fight. He was taken to the hospital in a blood loss situation.
Doctors diagnosed his health condition and gave him an emergency operation.
The patient has recovered and can already move the fingers slightly.
