(ĐN)- On July 10-11, Ministry of Health’s delegation had a working session with Dong Nai Department of Health on continuing to implement the functional rehabilitation programme for local AO/dioxin victims.
In 2012, the program will provide free surgeries to around 250 people with disabilities and victims of toxic chemicals, offer hearing aids for 118 others.
The functional rehabilitation program has been launched in 2008 with the aim to improve the quality of the victims’ life by helping them integrate into the community with rehabilitation techniques, aid facilities and knowledge on the field.
Over the past years, efforts have been made by the provincial authorities to provide functional rehabilitation for AO victims across the province. Annually, the province also opened training courses on basic knowledge of health care and functional rehabilitation for the disabled.
