(ĐN)- Lately, Xuan Loc district’s Red Cross Chapter in cooperation with a delegation of doctors and nurses from HCM city Ophthalmology Association provided free eye check-ups to poor patients in the district.
Seventy-five of them, mostly elderly people who were cataract sufferers, got their operations free of charge. The VND60 million cost for the surgeries was funded by the association.
Since the beginning of the year, the delegation offered free eye surgeries to 140 local cataract patients.
