Aspirations to contribute to Dong Nai’s key sectors in new era

Le Nu Thuy Duong, Vice Chairwoman and General Director of Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading JSC (Long Thanh Golf), has been involved in managing the enterprise since the enterprise primarily operated in garment manufacturing, infrastructure construction, and real estate. However, over the years, together with her family, she has gradually expanded the company’s scale, diversified investment fields, and maintained a strong focus on long-term development strategies, refining the organizational structure and improving governance effectiveness.

Under her leadership, Long Thanh Golf has maintained stable growth in the real estate sector while expanding investments into services, renewable energy, industrial parks (IPs), and logistics. Through these activities, the company has created jobs for thousands of workers and actively participated in social welfare programs across Dong Nai province.

New momentum for the private sector

How do you assess the new opportunities for investment in Dong Nai, especially after the issuance of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on the development of the private economic sector?

Labour Hero Le Nu Thuy Duong, Vice Chairwoman and CEO of Long Thanh Golf.

Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of the private economic sector represents an important turning point. It not only provides more favorable mechanisms and policies but also creates a more equitable investment environment for private enterprises. Dong Nai, a major destination for large flows of domestic and foreign investment, will benefit greatly from this resolution, as it opens broader opportunities for the province to optimize resources and accelerate strong, sustainable, and breakthrough economic growth. For businesses that aspire to contribute more to national development, such as Long Thanh Golf, the resolution serves as a strong motivation to continue pursuing long-term investment strategies and enhancing the role of the private sector.

Dong Nai has long been regarded as the country's industrial park (IP) capital. The province still has ample room to develop new-generation IPs, particularly green and smart IPs that can attract high-tech industries. In addition, the province's logistics infrastructure offers major opportunities, as Dong Nai is home to Long Thanh International Airport, is close to deep-water seaports, and has an increasingly complete regional transport network. This endeavor is an important foundation for Dong Nai to become a logistics and goods transshipment hub for the entire Southeast region.

Beyond industry and logistics, Dong Nai also has considerable advantages in land resources and natural conditions for developing large-scale high-tech agriculture. The formation of concentrated production zones, combined with mechanization, advanced technologies, and deep processing, will help enhance the added value of agricultural products and establish sustainable value chains.

Furthermore, with a rich natural ecosystem and numerous scenic landscapes, the province also holds strong potential for eco-tourism and experiential tourism. Once Long Thanh International Airport becomes operational, opportunities to attract both domestic and international visitors are expected to expand significantly.

What motivates you to focus more resources on investing in Dong Nai, particularly in the industrial park and logistics sectors?

For my family, Dong Nai is not simply a place where we invest; it has truly become our “second hometown”. We are proud that Long Thanh Golf Course was the first golf course to be invested in, designed, built, and operated by Vietnamese people. Our company is also among the pioneers in developing real estate integrated with golf courses, having received many prestigious awards and becoming a familiar destination for both domestic and international visitors.

Our long-standing connection with the province has enabled us to understand Dong Nai's potential and development opportunities clearly. I am especially confident as the province's leaders push ahead with infrastructure investment and orient Dong Nai toward becoming a modern industrial center that attracts high-tech industries and serves as an important logistics hub for the southeastern region, while also developing toward a green economy, high-tech agriculture, and a high-quality urban, service, and tourism system. These strategic decisions create a solid foundation for businesses to invest with confidence over the long term, which is also why we have decided to devote greater resources to IPs and logistics in the coming period.

In recent years, the shift in foreign direct investment (FDI) flows and the restructuring of global supply chains have been significant. Integrated planning oriented toward green development and the circular economy will create an important foundation for Dong Nai to continue strongly attracting investors from both domestic and international markets. I believe this is the time when the private sector should play a pioneering role and accompany the province in its new stage of development.

Shaping new-generation industrial parks

Dong Nai has long been considered a traditional industrial hub. What differences will Long Thanh Golf’s IP infrastructure offer to attract major global corporations?

Based on our long-term strategic orientation in industrial park development, we quickly recognized the shift in global supply chains and decided to invest in industrial park infrastructure in Dong Nai Province to attract major international corporations to invest in Vietnam. Two projects, Nam Long Thanh and Dong Long Thanh, are currently being developed as green and smart industrial parks. The projects are being planned with the consultancy of leading Japanese design firms such as Nippon Koei and Nikken Sekkei, ensuring compliance with international standards.

Our key distinction lies in our goal of building a "new-generation industrial city" model, where production zones are planned by sector to attract high-value-added industries. The industrial parks will operate under a smart management model, with systems for environmental monitoring, traffic management, internal security, and the most advanced wastewater treatment systems. In addition, we are placing strong emphasis on investing in renewable energy, such as solar power plants and rooftop solar systems in industrial parks, as well as energy-saving technologies. These efforts are intended to supply clean electricity to manufacturing plants requiring green certifications, meet demand for clean energy in the group's industrial parks, and advance a green, sustainable development model.

What plans do you have to meet the demand for highly skilled human resources when Long Thanh Golf’s IPs become operational?

For high-tech industries, human resource requirements are not only about quantity but also about quality and the challenging demand for expertise. Therefore, we will build a training school closely aligned with the actual needs of enterprises in the IPs, gradually forming a local workforce of technicians, engineers, and specialists. At the same time, developing a synchronized working environment and living conditions with essential amenities, such as schools, healthcare, and daily services, within the IPs will help attract and retain high-quality human resources, creating a stable foundation for high-value-added industries.

Beyond business goals, what changes do you hope to see in local communities once key infrastructure projects become operational?

I believe that development linked to Long Thanh International Airport will not only drive economic growth but also usher in a new phase of comprehensive transformation for Dong Nai. Once mechanisms and policies for the airport area are fully aligned, investment efficiency will be maximized, promoting the formation of service, logistics, and supporting industry chains.

More importantly, residents in the locality must be the direct beneficiaries of this development process. I hope the model of “local recruitment – local training – local employment” will be implemented more effectively, enabling local workers to improve their skills, secure stable jobs, and earn better incomes. Meanwhile, technical infrastructure investment should be implemented in a synchronized manner, from key transport routes and regional connectivity corridors to improvements in rural road systems.

With her contributions to production and business activities and social welfare work, Le Nu Thuy Duong has been awarded many prestigious honors, including the title of Labour Hero and the first-, second- and third-class Labour Orders. She was also awarded the second-class Military Order and the Medal for National Development of Laos by the President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

In addition, the development of social infrastructure and service spaces such as commercial centers and community facilities should be carried out in parallel. Comprehensive infrastructure investment will not only drive economic growth but also directly improve residents' quality of life in the locality.
