In the communes of Loc Thanh and Loc Tan, local authorities are accelerating preparations for the election day, from reviewing legal procedures and posting voter lists to arranging plans to ensure security and safety at polling stations. These efforts aim to ensure that the election is conducted in accordance with the law, in a democratic manner, and truly becomes a nationwide festival for the people.
Election regulations have been disseminated by the commune election committees to every hamlet, residential group and relevant agencies for implementation. To ensure strict compliance with regulations and facilitate voters in exercising their rights, inspection teams of the provincial government and communal leadership have directly visited polling stations to review all preparation steps. These include compiling and publicly posting voter lists, displaying the biographies of candidates, arranging ballot boxes and official seals, as well as preparing decorations and facilities serving election activities.
Nguyen Manh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee and Chairman of the Election Committee of Loc Tan commune, said that election preparations have been carried out in a synchronized manner. Polling stations across the commune have been arranged in convenient locations for voters, while responsibilities have been clearly assigned to each member of the election teams.
In addition, the commune election committee has proactively prepared plans to ensure public security, traffic safety and fire prevention at polling stations. Within each election team, duties have been assigned to members on the principle of “clear personnel, clear tasks, clear responsibility” to ensure that all procedures are carried out in accordance with regulations.
Meanwhile, in Loc Thanh commune, the local election committee has also implemented preparations across all areas of work, ensuring that election teams and units perform their tasks in a consistent and coordinated manner.
Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet, a member of Loc Thanh commune Election Committee, said that the commune has basically completed the establishment of election boards and teams in line with regulations. Across the commune, five election boards and 14 election teams have been set up, covering 13 hamlets and one border post involved in election activities. All of these units have already implemented the necessary preparations for the election.
According to Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet, grassroots election organizers have strengthened propaganda activities to help voters clearly understand the time and locations of polling stations as well as their rights and responsibilities. Loudspeaker systems, commune portals, banners and community meetings have been widely used to ensure that no voter is unaware of or misunderstands the election procedures.
Residents eagerly welcome the national election festival
The spirit of preparation for the election day has spread widely across villages, agencies and residential areas in these border communes. Residents in Loc Thanh and Loc Tan said they are excited and proud to have the opportunity to elect representatives who will voice their aspirations at both central and local levels.
At polling stations, many voters shared their expectation of taking part in the election in a convenient manner to select capable representatives to the NA and People’s Councils.
Village elder Dieu U, from Thanh Phu hamlet in Loc Thanh commune, said that as a respected elder, he has actively participated in encouraging ethnic minority residents to take part in the election. Thanks to these efforts, many ethnic minority households have shown enthusiasm and are looking forward to the day when they can exercise their voting rights.
Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Head of Thanh Phu hamlet in Loc Thanh commune, said that more than 50 percent of the hamlet’s population are ethnic minority people. Over the past time, the hamlet administration and mass organizations have intensified communication activities to help residents understand information about the election and the candidates. As a result, ethnic minority voters have shown strong interest and excitement ahead of the election day.
Lieutenant Colonel Ho Ngoc Minh, Deputy Head of the Political Department of the Dong Nai Border Guard Command, said that in order to ensure smooth election activities in border communes, the Party Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Command has directed its subordinate units to closely monitor the situation and safeguard national security during the upcoming election period.
He also sharred that to effectively implement this task, the unit has coordinated with local authorities in border communes to conduct communication activities on election procedures among ethnic minority communities in border areas. In addition, officers have been sent to work with the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) at the local level to encourage voters to take part in the election.
At the same time, border guard posts have been instructed to coordinate with local police forces to maintain security and safety across border communes, particularly on the election day.
To ensure that the national election festival is held successfully and meaningfully, thorough preparation, transparent organization and public consensus play a crucial role. In the communes of Loc Thanh and Loc Tan, election preparations have demonstrated the strong sense of responsibility of local authorities alongside the enthusiasm and confidence of voters, contributing to the overall success of the nationwide election.
