The end of the year is not only a time to review production and business activities but also an occasion for enterprises to reflect on the contributions of their workforce. Caring for workers’ livelihoods and honoring workers at year-end is considered an important solution to stabilize human resources, maintain production, and move toward sustainable development.
Honoring and motivating workers to stay
Pham Hoang, one of 20 workers who have been with Dona Victor Footwear Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, Binh Minh Commune) for 25 years, was recently honored at the company’s year-end party. Proud and deeply moved, Hoang shared: “Receiving the company’s care and recognition at year-end, I am truly touched to be acknowledged after more than two decades of working and staying with the enterprise. This achievement is a valuable reward that gives me more motivation, peace of mind to stay, and greater effort in my work”.
The joy was multiplied for long-serving workers like Hoang, who were honored for 25 years of dedication. This year, in addition to flowers and commemorative plaques, each worker also received one chi of gold from the enterprise leadership. It was a well-deserved recognition of the workers’ enduring efforts and contributions over the years. Sharing in that joy, thousands of company workers enthusiastically participated in the year-end celebration, which featured festive spring activities and meaningful Tet programs, along with a lucky draw offering more than 100 valuable prizes. In addition, the company, in coordination with the Trade Union, distributed over 1,000 Tet gift packages, each worth 1 million VND, to workers facing difficult circumstances.
Nguyen Thi My Linh, General Director of Dona Victor Footwear Co., Ltd., said that in recent years, the company’s products have become increasingly high in quality and consistency thanks to the collective effort, determination, and dedication of the workforce. The company considers its workers the core driving force and has therefore implemented timely support policies. On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, the company will award Tet bonuses to all employees equivalent to one month’s salary per person, calculated based on total wages. Previously, the company increased workers’ salaries by between 350,000 and more than 1 million VND, depending on job position. In July 2026, the company will continue implementing annual performance-based salary increases and grade-based adjustments for its employees.
Eclat Textile Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach 2 Industrial Park) recently distributed 5 tons of ST25 rice to nearly 5,000 workers, with each receiving an average of 10 kilograms. This practical gift from company leadership aims to support workers’ livelihoods, especially during the year-end period when living costs rise. At the same time, it reflects a people-centered corporate culture and contributes to establishing a humane, united, and sustainable working environment.
Hoang Thi Ha, a worker at Eclat Textile Co., Ltd., said she was deeply moved to receive the rice gift at the end of the year. For long-serving workers like her, it is not only a material gift but also a warm gesture of care and sharing after a year of hard work. “Although the rice gift is simple, I feel respected and more motivated to continue striving and growing with the company,” Ha shared.
Creating momentum for business development
Amid increasingly fierce labor competition among enterprises, especially as labor shortages become more widespread, honoring workers has become an annual practice closely tied to the long-term human resource strategies of many businesses. Several enterprises have incorporated worker appreciation into collective labor agreements through various forms, such as gold gifts, wage increases, or consideration for job placement and promotion. In addition, the ongoing expansion of annual welfare policies is regarded as a key solution for retaining workers and ensuring stable, sustainable development.
According to the Dong Nai Confederation of Labour, on the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, enterprises in Dong Nai have Tet bonus policies to recognize and honor workers, with the minimum level set at one month’s basic salary. Proactively honoring workers not only helps stabilize labor relations but also creates a solid foundation for sustainable production and business in the coming year. This initiative is a solution to enhance competitiveness and lay a foundation for the long-term sustainable development of enterprises.
Zhao Jianchao, General Director of GPPD Energy Co., Ltd. (Becamex Industrial Park – Binh Phuoc, Chon Thanh Ward), said that during the company’s operations and development in Dong Nai, it has always acknowledged workers’ attachment, diligence, and contributions. Therefore, the enterprise continuously improves policies to enhance living standards, ensure income, and provide stable employment for workers. Valuing workers is also a key objective to help the enterprise develop sustainably, retain talent, and attract workers in the future.

In addition to financial policies, many enterprises also prioritize workers’ spiritual well-being by organizing year-end parties and gatherings. At the same time, they announce production and business plans for the new year, wage increase roadmaps, welfare improvements, skills training, and promotion opportunities. Transparency of information and a demonstrated commitment to long-term partnership help workers feel more confident and secure returning to work after Tet.
In practice, enterprises that prioritize workers’ livelihoods, especially during the year-end period, tend to have higher rates of employees returning to work after Tet. This undertaking is considered a fundamental, long-term solution for retaining human resources, thereby improving productivity and competitiveness among enterprises in the province. Year-end appreciation activities, therefore, carry not only emotional significance but also serve as a key human resource strategy, reflecting the social responsibility and sustainable development vision of Dong Nai enterprises.
