Dong Nai holds training on implementing OCOP program in the new situation

On the morning of August 6, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province organized a training conference to implement the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in the province in the new situation.

The training program aims to equip and supplement knowledge and professional skills for management officials and officers in charge of OCOP program at the provincial and communal levels to support and guide entities in the province to complete registration documents for OCOP product evaluation in the new situation.

Specifically, the program focuses on contents to raise awareness about the OCOP program, OCOP products, OCOP entities, and provide knowledge about the OCOP criteria set, OCOP star ranking, product stories, product quality announcement dossiers, product evaluation processes, etc., equiping commune and ward level officials with knowledge to effectively support OCOP entities in preparing dossiers, reviewing potential products, promoting, and recording and monitoring OCOP products in the commune.

So far, Dong Nai province has had 481 OCOP products. Of these, 11 products achieved 5-star rating, 109 products received 4-star rating, and 361 products gained 3-star certification. The program has mobilized the participation of 304 entities, of which nearly 60% are businesses and cooperatives. Compared to early 2020, the number of OCOP products has increased sharply, with an average of about 50% per year.
