Comrade Nguyen Kim Long holds the position of Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee

On the morning of August 11, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce decisions on personnel work for Comrade Nguyen Kim Long, the Provincial Party Committee member and Chief of the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, who had been approved by the Prime Minister as Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The conference was chaired by Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; and Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee.

Also attending the event were Tran Trung Nhan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Ho Van Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of People’s Committee; and Nguyen Tan Phu, Vice Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

At the event, Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council presented the Prime Minister’s decision approving the election of Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chief of the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, as Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Speaking after receiving the decision, the newly appointed Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long expressed his honor and deep emotion at being trusted, nominated, and elected by the province’s key officials, with the election result approved by the Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term. He stressed that this is not only an honor but also a great responsibility before the Provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people. He pledged that, in his new position, he will continue to build on and promote the achievements and valuable experience of previous leaders, while making constant efforts to learn, cultivate revolutionary ethics, and improve professional competence to meet the requirements and tasks of the new development stage. He also underlined that unity would always be his top priority, considering it the foundation for every success, and that he would stay close to and work alongside his colleagues, share responsibilities, and overcome all difficulties and challenges together. Nguyen Kim Long also expressed his hope to continue receiving the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Standing members of the provincial Standing Party Committee and the provincial Standing Party Committee, as well as the coordination of members of the provincial People’s Committee throughout his tenure.

At the conference, on behalf of the provincial Party Committee’s Executive Board, Ton Ngoc Hanh urged Comrade Nguyen Kim Long to quickly gain a comprehensive grasp of the tasks assigned to him immediately after taking office. Accordingly, he should proactively propose breakthrough solutions to create tangible improvements in the provincial People’s Committee’s operations. Hanh also emphasized the need to maximize the spirit of solidarity, work closely with members of the People’s Committee and leaders of departments and sectors, and listen to feedback from grassroots levels and local people to ensure effective implementation of tasks.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Ton Ngoc Hanh also requested Comrade Nguyen Kim Long to maintain the integrity and exemplary conduct of a leader, staying close to the people, matching words with actions, and demonstrating the courage to think, act, and take responsibility for the common good. At the same time, he was urged to be resolute in his direction and make firm commitment to fulfilling socio-economic development targets within the scope of duties assigned by the provincial People’s Committee, so as to deliver strong results in the time ahead.

Earlier, on August 8, at the 4th (thematic) session of the 10th Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council for the 2021-2026 tenure, Nguyen Kim Long was elected Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Born in 1977 in HCM City, Nguyen Kim Long holds a master’s degree in economics and an advanced degree in political theory. He has served as Chairman of the Members’ Council of Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation since January 2016, was appointed Chief of the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee in August 2020, and in August 2021 was assigned by the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat to the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
