The Dong Nai City People’s Committee has issued a plan to implement the Cultural Diplomacy Strategy through 2030, with a vision to 2045, aiming to showcase Dong Nai’s history, people, cultural identity and socio-economic potential to the world.

The plan is implemented pursuant to Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1306/QD-TTg, dated July 17, 2026, which approves the Cultural Diplomacy Strategy through 2030, with a vision to 2045. It is also aligned with central government policies and plans adopted by the Dong Nai City Party Committee on cultural development and international integration in the new context.

For 2026-2030, the city aims to expand international cultural exchanges and cooperation, preserve and promote its cultural heritage and develop literature and the arts, while fostering cultural industries through digital transformation and innovation. Cultural diplomacy activities will also be linked with trade promotion, tourism development and efforts to attract targeted investment, helping raise Dong Nai’s international profile.

The city aims to increase the number of literary and artistic works by around 15% annually, with at least 5% demonstrating significant ideological and artistic value and having a broad impact. It also plans to develop three to five distinctive tourism and cultural offerings to strengthen its tourism brand and host 10-20 national and international sporting tournaments each year. In addition, Dong Nai will develop digital cultural products related to heritage, festivals, performing arts and cultural tourism.

To achieve these goals, the city will focus on developing a highly skilled workforce, strengthening international cooperation and organizing cultural and artistic events at the national and international levels. It will also promote the use of artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality to showcase Dong Nai’s culture. Other priorities include building a digital database of the city’s cultural assets, producing multilingual content and strengthening digital communications.

By 2045, the city aims to foster a healthy and civilized cultural environment and develop cultural industries that contribute to economic growth and improve residents’ quality of life. It plans to develop five to 10 distinctive tourism and cultural offerings and host 15-30 national and international sporting tournaments annually. The city also aims to complete and launch a digital museum, making Dong Nai’s cultural heritage more accessible to audiences at home and abroad.
